Hey there guys and gals! I'm Daktary. I guess you can say I'm one of those hardcore gamer types that watches anime every now and then. Nothing more, nothing less... :P
Now, I don't try to hide behind my finger and say that I judge the things I see in an objective manner, on the contrary, my ratings are given based purely on what impression did a certain production leave on me. Thus, my rating system goes as following:
0.5 / 5 : Anime that don't give a rat's ass about it's viewers. There's a certain limit of randomness / mindfuck that the human mind can digest and these shows have made sworn duty to break this barrier and deliver random weirdness to it's exasperated audience.
1.0 / 5 : Shows that gave me a hard time watching them, generally characterized by having a plot best described as "utter crap". Fanservice anime go here.
1.5 / 5 : Anime that start off by showing some good potential, then suddenly, the plot starts going down the toilet, instantly turning into a fiasco. Also stereotypical anime.
2.0 / 5 : Blunt anime with no redeeming qualities. A general waste of time. Also technology test anime.
2.5 / 5 : Ok-ish anime that are easy to overlook. Not too hot, not too shabby.
3.0 / 5 : Anime that had some potential, but unfortunately didn't stand out much.
3.5 / 5 : Usually older anime that feature simple but enjoyable plots.
4.0 / 5 : A broad range of anime, mostly targeted at a general public, thus lacking the attention to finer details. Usually comedies.
4.5 / 5 : Remarkable anime that left a very good impression, but sadly lacked that extra "something special" which could have made them truly memorable.
5.0 / 5 : Unique anime that leave a everlasting impression. They usually feature hidden themes and motives, taboo subjects or on the contrary, a great journey that reminds you of the purity of a child's thoughts.
