I'm at the start of Chapter 3; I didn't play at all yesterday. I plan to make some progress today, but I'd also like to do some of my school work that I've been holding off due to, well, SPRING BREAK! I just got Homura, myself. I'm not sure what to think of the characters just yet, but I had a hard time picking Shallistera after learning more about Shallotte. I was soooo close to choosing the latter because I surprisingly related to her a lot, but decided against it because I already went in thinking I'd prefer Shallistera. With games that have multiple playable protagonists with their own stories, I have chosen correctly who I'd like best based on initial impressions every time, with only a singlular exception from a game I played a couple years ago (the game disappointed me, so I'm not gonna say what it is >D); I hope I'm not wrong again. I haven't gotten many friend events either, aside for a couple of Jurie. My biggest, present complaint for the game is the motivation system. It's probably because I'm playing on hardcore, and it's thus more difficult to manage, but I'm worrying about that more than the time system in prior games. >_<
I'm on chapter 2. One thing I find greatly annoying is that it always asks you if you'd like to start the next chapter when returning to your workshop and once you've completed the life tasks. No, I don't want to go to the next chapter yet! There's too much exploring, requests, and synthesizing to do, not to forget to mention to find every barrel and talk to it, as well as be in awe at the beautiful scenery! Couldn't they just ask you once, then say something like, "When you're ready to start the next chapter, talk to Old Guy."? I have other issues with the game, but I'll hold them off with the hopes they'll be present no longer when I get further.
Guess what came in? =P Short comment will be short because THERE'S NO TIME FOR THAT!
If I foreseee myself wanting to play the game again in the future, I'll buy it, as otherwise if I rent it twice, I don't save as much money from not purchasing it day-1 (which is why I try to beat all games I rent before returning). Pfft, you should buy every Atelier game you rent immediately after confirming it works properly!
"I need to start buying more games" I thought you already had enough! Yeah, there's a ton of games I'd like to purchase, but I hold back because my backlog is already big enough and it's not like I can allow time for them anyways.
I'msojealouswhyareyouthisluckyIhatemylifebutnotreallyandnowthatIthinkaboutitwhydidInotputanyspacesinthis? I didn't get it. =/ But good news! I'll have two coupons to use for the game and my rewards will go up to 10% off next week because I'll have been a member for a year! I'll get Atelier Shallie for about $25 - that's half the proce! I am amazing.
Nope. And it'll definitely happen again!
Let's see, if we tie, you give me $10, I'll give you $5? And $3 for Black Flag? I don't think it has even been out for two years yet! I wish more games I play would depreciate in value that quickly...
