Favourite songs from Anime

29 AUG
2011

Lately I've been listening to a lot of songs that I used to love but have forgotten about therefore I've decided to rank the order of my favourite songs which is very hard for me. I don't actually think I have a favourite song of all time but hopefully I'll be able to decide.. I apologise for how big this list is. It would have been an awful lot bigger though if I had included Vocaloid and other Japanese/Korean songs.

20. Genjitsu to Iu Na no Kaibutsu to Tatakau Mono Tachi from Bakuman

I originally didn't put this song in, but I really do love this song even more than the opening which is rare for me. There are only a few, one of the others are on this list.

19. Listen to the Stereo from Katekyo Hitman Reborn

An amazing song that I've loved since I first heard it. To be expected from KHR since it has such an amazing soundtrack.

18. Fuwa Fuwa Time (Yui Version) from K-On!

There's just something you have to love about this song and it's just so cute..!

17. Hito to Shite Jiku ga Bureteiru from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Okay.. I hate this anime. Well, it's not that I hate it, but I disliked it. However I do love the music in SZB and this song is what originally made me pick the anime up.

16. Marukaite Chikyuu (Italy) from Hetalia: Axis Powers

Okay.. so, I didn't want to be biased when I did this blog, so I've placed this song here. I love this song, and it has been my most played song on Itunes for almost a year now, however it's probably not my favourite.   For anyone listening to it for the first time, it will probably shock you. ^^

15. My Soul, Your Beats! from Angel Beats!

To be expected, such a nice opening that suits the anime too.

14. Ash Like Snow from Mobile Suit Gundam 00

I admit it.. I love mecha, despite being a girl, and I love the Gundam series. I had difficulty deciding over which one I preferred, Daybreak's Bell or this one, however I think I actually like this one better, and although Daybreak's Bell isn't on this list, it probably would have been if I had increased the list to 25.

13. The World from Death Note

Everyone loves this song. Even my sister loves this and she hates all things Japanese. This is my kind of music, although I severely disliked the second opening.

12. For Fruits Basket from Fruits Basket

A very touching song that suits the anime so much. This is quite a simple song, but I think it's just.. really nice, in English and Japanese.

11. Rocks from Naruto

This is just an awesome song. Everytime I hear it, it reminds me of original Naruto and how it used to be. Also very catchy.

10. Ichirin no Hana from Bleach

My dislike for Bleach is becoming clearer and clearer every day, however I still love this song. High and Mighty Color are amazing.

9. We Are! from One Piece

This is the first opening song and is just... AMAZING. I can still sing it even after not hearing it for months.

8.  Closer from Naruto Shippuden

An opening that I've loved since I first heard it.

7. Shiver from Kuroshitsuji II

The second season may have been disappointing but an amazing opening nonetheless.

6. Pride from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny

Although this series was disappointing compared to the original series, I still love their choice of openings and endings. Another song from High and Mighty Color.

5. Ashita, Boku wa Kimi ni Ai ni Yuku from Sekaiichi Hatsukoi

Okay.. so I'm a shounen loving, mecha and yaoi fan? That pretty much sums me up.. Sekaiichi Hatsukoi isn't yaoi, it's shounen-ai, and I just love it and of course this song. This is one of the rare times I prefer the ending of an anime to the opening.

4. No Boy No Cry from Naruto

Just a great song! Probably not to everyone's tastes, but I still love it. I played this song on full volume last night and accidently woke my parents up.

3. Absolutely Invincible British Gentleman from Hetalia: Axis Powers

What can I say? Just one of my favourite songs, never fails to make me laugh and is just AWESOME. This is one of England's character songs if anyone is wondering.

2. Diver from Naruto Shippuden

An awesome song from my favourite Japanese band. I not only love this opening because it's by Nico Touches the Walls, but because of the significance it holds to Naruto and his friends. The opening, I personally, think that it's from Sasuke's view and I think that's one of the reasons I love it so much simply because it shows perhaps how Sasuke is feeling? I don't know. I hate Sasuke either way.

1. Meteor from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

This is.. just an epic song. It's been one of my favourite songs for well over a year now, and I just love it. I'm not sure that it's my favourite song of all time though, however since it's been one of my favourites for the longest, it gets first place.

I was going to insert videos in the blog post for the first five favourites, but it didn't seem to be working.. so I guess you'll just have to look it up if you're curious. :)

Ah yes, I am rather partial to "Diver" from Naruto Shippuden myself. :) I would also like to add "Lovers" by Seven Oops from Shippuden too.

Great. Now I'm going to have to make one of these for myself. XD

hmm....I only know about five of these. and out of those.

I still can't find it possible that you don't absolutely love bleach but XD that's the fangirl talking. Also I love Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei....well, the manga, the anime came off as a bit weirder.

The english version of For Fruits Basket kinda annoyed me at first but now I don't mind it as much. I do like Mio's version of Fuwa Fuwa time slightly better, but I think that the style of the song changes a bit depending on which person is singing. When Mio sings, it more rockish. hen Yui sings, it has more of a popish feel. And I guess I just happen to like the rockish style maybe a teensy bit better.

Of course Marukaite chikyuu, Rocks, Ichirin no hana, The world, no boy no cry and We Are are all awesome.

And Ashita, Boku wa Kimi ni Ai ni Yuku is one of my favorite ending themes ever. ....but I still think Ritsu looked too much like Italy when he was younger. XD Not that that information has anything to do with this conversation.
