Cowboy Bebop

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Kino's Journey

Believe it or not, I'm going to recommend Kino's Travels if you liked Cowboy Bebop. This is mainly because of the way the story or lack thereof is presented, and the feel of each standing episode. I like the way where each episode has its own meaning, some would call this filler, but I think that each episode while disjointed from the others, adds to the whole experience.

Kino's Journey

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Haibane Renmei

I found both of these series to be amazing. Each is told in a laid back and relaxing manner. Although Kino's Travels has a bit of action in it, it doesn't affect the viewer much. Both of these series have no real plot, its just told episode by episode on the fly. Different kinds of journeys and destinies are presented in both Haibane Renmei and Kino's Travels but all have the same basic feel, as if you're learning something deep from watching.

Geneshaft

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Infinite Ryvius

I found that I enjoyed both of these series immensely. This is due to the fact that there are similar plot complications and theme between them. Take for example the setting, both in the future with space exploration. One of the nifty things that are similar is the Vital Guarder and The Shaft. I have to say, it seems like they're both taken from the same idea. So anyways, if you liked one of these, you'll like the other. Battle scenes, ships, other worldly beings, and touch of humanity's questions are included in both these series.

Great Teacher Onizuka

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Azumanga Daioh

Azumanga Daioh and GTO are radical comedies that take place in a Japanese High School. One will not fail to laugh either from GTO's plots and stupid antics, or just Azumanga Daioh's stupid antics. Even though most aspects are different, the comedy humors you just the same. Definitely check both of them out if you need a little comic relief.

The first few eps of either series, you'll think that its a complete rip off of the other. I saw NGE first so when I watched Dual!, I almost dropped it due to the rip off. But I am glad I kept watching it. While these two series are similar in many aspects, the core of each show focuses on different things. Both are equally enjoyable even though NGE probably has more publicity from it. Main things one would enjoy between these series is probably the mechas and a few philosophical and moral issues thrown into the mix.

Please Teacher

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Ai Yori Aoshi

Once again you've got similarities galore. Even though Ai Yori Aoshi is a harem anime while Onegai Teacher is not so much of a harem anime, you can get the same feel. This is again a meet between almost lonely and shy guys plus supernatural females (Aoi is supernatural, just watch the series, if I could do half as many chores...).

Please Teacher

I pretty much agree with everyone else that has made a recommendation. Start with shy student. Enter supernatural hot female, take your pick, alien or goddess. BAM! You got some chemistry going. Each series has its own nice romantic touch to it but in its basic elements they are the same. These series complement each other well.

Love Hina

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi

Ai Yori Aoshi ~enshi~ is similar to Love Hina in the same way that Ai Yori Aoshi was. Both of them are categorized as harem animes, animes where there is a male surrounded by a hoard of women or vice versa. Comedy in Ai Yori Aoshi ~enshi~ is light and there are sprinkles of romance and drama, the same as in Love Hina. Relationships do progress, but there are plenty of fillers that help out.

Mezzo Forte

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Kite

It's pretty easy to see the similarities here. If you get the uncut version, each has a little hentai thrown in. If not, the series is still good, the hentai is just for extra bang. So, both Kite and Mezzo Forte have basically the same structure. Girls with guns. In Kite the girl is not so assertive compared to the girl in Mezzo Forte. Even so, you get just about the same feel for both of them, high paced action and some drama.

Vandread

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Geneshaft

Setting for both animes are pretty much parallel with each other. Males and females are separated and the human race has colonized space. The one thing that I think make Geneshaft and Vandread similar is the conflict. In both series some philosophy is handed out and the conflicts can be compared. Each protagonist has to cope with an unknown. This unknown is the antagonist. I'm sure if you had enjoyed one of these, you would enjoy the other. Only thing that you should be worried about is a lighter approach in Vandread. There are loads, heaps, and tons of sexual tension and other random flak that are not present in Geneshaft.

Phantom The Animation

YOU MIGHT LIKE

Elfen Lied

At first glance, these two look almost completely different, except for maybe some of the genres. Elfen Lied is for one, 13 episodes, while Phantom is just an OVA of 3 episodes. As one would expect, Elfen Lied has a lot of things that Phantom just doesn't have, such as character development. I enjoyed Elfen Lied thoroughly, and I'm sure I would have enjoyed Phantom more if it was longer. The similarities do start with the genre. If you like either, the other can be something like an encore, with more gore, action, and touch of romance.
