What I Liked: Well designed and executed background art and settings. Soundtrack, while barely noticable, still did a good job at creating mood and atmosphere.
What I Didn't: For a horror movie, it wasn't terribly frightening or scary - kids entering a deadly game thanks to a rumor and being picked off one by one isn't new. Character designs were a little… off-putting and a bit of a let-down.
Final Verdict: While it had an interesting concept and brilliant set designs, Kakurenbo ultimately felt too B-Grade and suffered under the weight of its mediocre character designs and the stereotypical horror devices it employed.
