What I Liked: Almost everything - The background art, the soundtrack... Character animation is fluid and natural. The story of how Hana met the werewolf is romantic without being too sappy or alienating. The way it was written made everything believable - even the supernatural element.
What I Didn't: Pacing may be a bit too slow for some viewers. People may not appreciate having their emotions put through the wringer like this movie does.
Final Verdict: Probably Mamoru Hosoda's finest work to date, Wolf Children is a visually stunning and immersive slice-of-life movie that is more than just a simple girl-meets-werewolf fairytale.
