I'm an aspiring writer, an avid gamer, and an Anime fan. I tend to enjoy action-oriented anime like Kenshin or Full Metal Alchemist, but I'm really a huge sap for a Romance story(Spice and Wolf, Gundam 08th MS Team, etc.), though I'd hardly admit it to anyone who knew me.

My Anime Ranking System:
.5-1.5 Star- Horrible, can't be unseen. 1.5 is less Horrible than .5.
2-2.5 Stars- Meh in every way, not something I'd ever rewatch.
3 Stars- Decent, I may rewatch in a year or so if I'm bored enough.
3.5-4.5 Stars- Not bad at all, I wish all anime were this level. Very likely to rewatch.
5 Stars- Perfect. There is almost nothing that could make this better. WILL REWATCH!

I issue my rankings based on my impression of the anime at it's conclusion. Exceptions to the previous statement include but are not limited to: Anime I've stalled or Dropped, Kenshin where I omit everything After Shishio, and Dragon Ball Z which gets a 5 because I've rewatched it at least 10 times (willingly, because DBZ WAS my childhood).

My biggest beef with most anime is when you have a good story for 3/4 of the way and then it just collapses at the end (or in the 2nd season). It is precisely for this reason that Death Note and Code Geass aren't 5, and why I hate Clannad so much. Clannad... if you're gonna rip my heart out, don't try to shove it back in 5 minutes later and act like nothing happened.
