"Plot grows out of character. If you focus on who the people in your story are, if you sit and write about two people you know and are getting to know day by day, something is bound to happen."
---Anne Lamott, bird by bird
Oh hi. So. How are you holding up? Because I'M a POTATO. You've come to my profile for some reason.
Don't get scared away just because I have so many anime marked at won't watch-- I'm open to any opinion you may have as long as you have a good reason behind it (typing with correct grammar and spelling also helps). If you nearly fell out of your seat because I marked one of your favorites as won't watch, and you must change that immediately, I won't discourage you at all. I typically don't watch stuff full of gore, though. I'm ok with a little ecchi as long as it isn't the focus of the series.
Putting that aside, my favorite genres are slice-of-life, romance, drama, and supernatural. My first anime was Cardcaptor Sakura. I started in 8th grade, and I haven't stopped since then. I love anime that makes me question life or cry, and I appreciate a crisp, bright style of animation.
I've been getting back into manga lately. I go to Half-Price Books sometimes and just read from their section. I like physically holding the books, so I prefer owning volumes instead of reading online. If I don't find it at a used bookstore, though, I'll read it on one of the many manga sites.
I also like games. Feel free to add me on steam (Bramblestar427), just tell me who you are in advance. I'm a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series (but I only have a computer and a DS, so I've never played the main titles). Here's my backloggery: backloggery.com/bramblestar (pretty pitiful, I know. It'll get better.) Vocaloids are pretty cool as well. :3
I've never taken Japanese in school, so I only know a few words. I personally think this is a blessing because schools don't teach foregin langauges very well-- they should be learned based on immersion, not conjugating verbs. Who conjugates verbs in their daily speech? I only know what certain moods (like the subjunctive) mean because I study that kind of thing in my spare time. Sometimes a random Japanese word will pop up in my head, and I'll think I've made it up. Later I'll find out that it's not only a real word, but it means exactly what I think it means! That's what anime can do. :)
I'm going to be an English teacher later in life. If you need help with something, comment, and I'll see what I can do. :D
I also write stories. Tell me if you'd like to read some, and I'll tell you what I'm working on.

Oh, that sounds interesting, ill add that to my "Want to Watch" list, hopefully i can watch that and finish the anime that i started around august. Thanks for the comment ^_^.
Thanks, it's from Shakugan no Shana, one of my favorite series. If you like fantasy anime with a little action and a good story, you should check it out.
If you want to learn Japanese (I couldn't make out if you did in your autobiography), I can recommend a great website. It updates regularly and in my opinion, learning when you're in control is better than being in a class full of people whom don't want to learn the language. XD
Thanks for the message =D My Avatar is from Gosick =]
Oh thanks, i actually found it while browsing animepaper.com, its the site i go to for wallpapers and avatars o-o.
I also like your avatar, what anime is it from?
Konnichiwa!
Hope you enjoy it.
Okie doke then, http://www.123japanese.com is the website I use. Frequent updates, lessons, pretty much everything you need if you're willing.
Only when I wanted to, not as much anymore, I'm actually dyslexic. XD I should probably update the biography but I'm pretty lazy. I don't make a habit of double checking my writing anymore. Communication over the internet can be "hazy". No tones of voice, no gestures and pretty much everything else that makes up communication other than words and to an extent, emotions... Just my mind playing tricks on me.
