A well-meaning friend lent me a copy of Fruits Basket and it was all downhill from there.  My preferences can be inconsistent: I generally get bored with battle scenes, but loved Fullmetal Alchemist. Childlike characters annoy me, but I was glad I stuck with Honey and Clover. This forum has really helped me target shows that reward the time I invest in them. Recent favorites include Summer Wars and Antique Bakery.
