In this article I will talk about animes that were ok or medicore at best but contains something about it that really leaves an impact on me...lets get started!!!
A little strange for me. The plot was kinda weird, the characters were a little bland, and I had a hard time figuring out what kind of anime it wanted to be. The ending just baffled me in which it became serious which contradicted the whole feel throughout the series. Anyway, the diamond in this anime would be one particular episode. The Karaoke episode. It was the only episode that I can watch over and over again, and I did. It was cute, funny, and something I can relate too. It was the most realistic karaoke episode I have ever seen. You can pick out characters and compare them to your friends like "oh yea she is totally like her, or yea he so shy like him". This episode really stood out to me and in a good way and it still is one of my favorite single episodes.
KimiKiss Pure Rouge
This anime as a whole is not particularly bad in any way. I felt that the characters ended up with the wrong person but thats just me. This anime actually has complex interrelationships and great character development. What really stood out to me with this one though is the ending. It felt so perfect so great that I want other animes to end the way Kimikiss does. Was it the most magical ever? well sorta kinda I guess but I really like the state of the relationship when the series ends, its really good. Thats what makes it so great, the state of their relationship.
The animation is not the greatest and the dialogue can get awkward but this anime has great characters. They actually got some great english voice actors. The story is kinda a mix between romance and supernatural actiony. The main hero is a little bland you don't feel like he is as dependable as some others but hes ok I guess. Anyway this diamond lies in its choice. A little *spoiler* alert I guess but the main character does not choose the girl that everyone thought he would pick and chooses someone else. Now not many animes actually do this but it isn't even heavily hinted at either. It totally caught me off guard but I was happy nonetheless cause actually I liked her better anyway. What is also interesting is that it all happens at once in the middle of the series. It takes you totally by surprise, and to me it was a pleasant surprise.
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Now this anime I moderately enjoyed. The characters were fun but the story was a bit bland with a few episodes I almost considered skipping. The ending had two different endings which is interesting, a good one and a bad one. But thats not the diamond, the diamond is one of the main characters. Kyousuke Kousaka is my all-time favorite favorite male character. He is dependable funny, nice and charming, even if his sister does not see it. Episode 3 is one of my favorite episodes of all time and it gets pretty heated. By the end of the day even yourself will find him dependable and you will believe in him to get through any hardships or escape trouble. In addition, he does not even thinks hes great and by no means takes credit. He just sees himself as the big brother but in reality, the audience is jealous of Kirino, his sister. He is a very likeable character as well having some depth. The main character is the diamond in the rough. BTW:My favorite female character is Haruna Sairenji ^_^
A little recap:
Kannagi:Episode 10, Karaoke
Kimikiss Pure Rouge:Ideal ending to any romance animes
DNAngel:Unexpected choice of a kinda backround character
Oreimo:Favorite Male character of all time
Some animes are ok or maybe even bad, but if you find a diamond in the rough then it can make it worthwhile.
These are my thoughts and I hope you read this :)
