about me

I'm a 17 year old girl from Denmark. I've watched animé, and read manga for many years now; I think I little by little started up in 2001.

I mostly read manga, but I really like animé too! Especially movies, psychological/mystery/supernatural series, and series that come up with interesting questions about people, life and death. I really like the works of Satoshi Kon.

The first animé I ever watched, was Totoro - but I first realised that about year 2006-07. So, when people ask what animé I saw first, my answer would be Beyblade - That animé, and Pokémon (of course xP) was the two that made me obsessed with animé. But well... Now I've watched a lot more, as you can see ^____^Tokyo Mew Mew was my first manga to read.

Oh, right. Recommendations!

The last arc of Ayakashi- Classic Japanese Horror (eps 9-11) is one of my favorite things ever. The first arc was pretty good as well (though people tend to disagree with me on that point), and I thought the second was really boring. But definitely check out the third.

I also really liked Hakaba Kitaro, which might be pretty hit-or-miss as well. The mixture between horror and comedy was brilliant. As was the art.

And I'll never miss an opportunity to rave about Skip Beat, even though it's not at all a mystery/psychological series. Regardless, I generally don't like the genre, but I loved it, so maybe you will too.

Hooray! I will definitely look into those. Especially Kaiba, I've been wanting to watch that for a while because I KNOW I'll love it. Now I'm just looking to see if anyone else wants to watch it with me. Unfortunantly, all the guys I know in real life watch those terrible moe shows (sometimes I force myself to watch them so that I can make fun of them more efficiently). So that plan probably won't work. Oh well.

As for manga, I've been meaning to read some, but I have no idea where to start because there's so many, and I know NOTHING about any of them. Usually, the only ones I ever hear of are ones that have already had anime adaptations that I've already seen, and I'm not that interested in reading those.

Great Anime List!

We have the exact same Favorite/Least Favorite Genres! That makes me inexplicably happy. And I like most of the things on your anime list (which makes sense, considering). You should rate everything so I know what all to watch next, :P

And if you want any recs, you'd preobably like most things that I rated highly. So... yeah.

Bye!
