It lasts for only 2 mins 22 seconds. It's really hard to say anything that makes sense - because Fumiko no Kokuhaku definitely is not about sense, deep feelings and all that. Story is as simple as a hamster - it's cute, yet very sudden. It starts with a girl's confession to a boy she likes. He says no - and she starts to run. And run. And even more run. And soon she just can't stop making her - very fast - way down from a hill. The truth is - all you get is just about a minute and a half of crazy run. Animation is very cute. I personally loved it a lot. It fits the story and characters. I guess... read more
First, I have to admit that I love cats. No, I adore them! So when I found a new airing anime called ‘Nyan Koi!’ I just couldn’t not to download all the 6 episodes that had aired by the moment I found it.Story is very funny. Everybody seems to be obsessed with cats, so you start to pity poor Kousaka who can’t stand them. As about me, I crossed my fingers for him ^.^On some sites I found ‘Nyan Koi!’ tagged with ecchi, and it really has some.. hints. But it’s not about anything like that at all. More than that, it has no panty shot or blood from the nose.Animation is... read more
I thought It’d be a failure. ‘Russian anime, oh Lord, and It’s about the War!’ – that’s what I thought. The Second World War (aka The Great Patriotic War for Russians) is the main theme for lots and lots of movies, cartoons, TV-series, books.. And now they created an anime.Watching it at Russian with English subs (because I cannot disconnect it) was rather funny, but now I can tell you – English subs lie! They missed some words and something was wrong about the names. But It was all right at all.I didn’t like the story. As for me, war is something more serious... read more
Comparing two seasons of Haruhi it’s obvious that the 2nd is an absolute collapse. It’s really sad. Animation and music are still great, but the story.. I guess I’m not the only one who was disappointed – we were waiting for something better. Much better.Lots of identical episodes (more than a half of the season), and almost all the other episodes have the same story line. I accentuate only one single episode – the first one. It was pretty fun.I do really think that ‘Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (2009)’ failed and It’s a great shame for Kyoto Animation. Such... read more
Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is very impressive. I’d say that the story is exclusive – If this word fits the situation. The greatest plus of the movie is that love is not the main theme, but the most important. Animation is pretty interesting, a kind of better than usual. Sound scared me sometimes, but It also is perfect for those moments where It was used. And everything’s perfectly combined; I watched the whole movie with my month wide open. It’s such a masterpiece.
‘Beyond the Clouds’, also known as ‘The Place Promised in Our Early Days’, is a movie by Makoto Shinkai. I wanted to watch It for some months, and when I finally found It I wasn’t been disappointed. It’s just masterpiece. Catching plot, strong characters, awesome animation and a kind of mystery – It has it all. Maybe people’s animation is not that perfect, but I’ve never seen any anime with more beautiful landscapes. And as I know, not everybody likes Sci Fi, I wasn’t the exception. But thanks to (or because of) Beyond the Clouds I changed my... read more
