Getter Robo Armageddon

on

Anime Haters usually say that anime is 'teh ghey" and that only teenage girls like it. Their second (and more intelligent) argument is that it's stupid because things happen that make no sense at all. Luckily enough most people who tell me that tend to be comic book fans or fans of doctor who and Star trek, which throws the stupid argument out the window. Either way, my argument has always been "Well, what's wrong with something being a little stupid?" Almost all movies, books and Video games (DEFINATELY VIDEO GAMES) tend to be at least a little stupid once in a while, it's just the type of... See full review

Amazing Nurse Nanako

on

I think I laughed only one time while watching the horrifying monstrosity that is known as Amazing Nurse Nanako. A mans wife is dying, from a car crash or illness or some other nonsense I can't remember nor do I really choose to (don't worry why she's near deaths door, it doesn't really effect the joke). The mad scientist character (inventor of Nanako.) Helps to rebuild and revive her from her impending death by putting in cybernetic augmentations. He does rebuild her, as a matter of fact, into a entire overtly robotic, blocky body with a single human head laying on top. As would be obvious... See full review

Afro Samurai Resurrection

Making sequels is a fickle thing. It's vary similar to owning a house. Once you've bought said house , you have two ways of going about doing what you wish for the house: 1# you could put in nice furniture, a new paint job, clean up the attic, just make it better then it was or #2, you can do an entire overhaul on the damn thing, make the roof look like a chicken coop, put in new rooms that look tacky as hell on the outside, put a statue outside of a little boy peeing into a waterfall which will probably not go well with the neighborhood watch, basically go hog wild on the place. Sometimes... See full review

Afro Samurai

on

This movie is super cool. . . . . . .    Oh! You wanted me to say something else? well, honestly that's all I can think of to tell you about Afro Samurai. The movie is really, really cool. That's it. It has it's problems and stupid parts and it's about as shallow as a kiddy pool but when you're walking into Movie-stop and pick up a movie called Afro Samurai, what did you expect?    Well, let me go a bit deeper since people seem to need that type of stuff for this. Set in Feudal japan ( citation needed, I really don't know.), it tells the story of a young... See full review

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

on

When watching a show like Code Geass I'm reminded of a conversation I one time had with a friend of mine about the insufferably of the public and how easy it is manipulating them. he said, and I quote: "the masses of a country are roughly stupid and gullible once you introduce the idea of patriotism into the mix. you tell them their opponent represents everything you do not, they look different then you do, and say once in a while that they want to have your women and you've just created a mass of lunatics willing to blow themselves up for their country." I'm not about to say that Code Geass is... See full review
