Hello everyone! My name is Noel and I LOVE ANIME! I usually watch them late at around 1am to 3am (I'm REALLY busy during the day and this is the only free time that I have, sadly.) But besides that, I started watching anime back in the 3rd grade (Dragonball Z anyone?) I think around that same time, I was also hooked onto Digimon, Pokemon (who wasn't) and Sailor Moon. Since then, I have grown up along with the anime series that I watch and lovin' every minute of them!

As you can see from my profile pic, I <3 Soul Eater!!! I just finished the anime and it was definitely one of the best animes I have ever seen (the ending could have used a little work though...*crossing my fingers for a season 2*) I've never read the manga but, if the anime is this awesome, I might consider picking up a book : ) Even though I might appear as the girly type, I'm not big on romance animes...what makes an excellent anime is the storyline and the ACTION!!! Hellsing, Fullmetal Alchemist, D. Gray Man and Claymore are just some of the amazing animes that I have come across. If you know of any good action packed animes with a hint of mystery/suspense, please let me know!

Pandora Hearts is good, I may have rated it numerically a little high in my review, but it's worth checking out, as is Letter Bee, if you like your shounen at a more measured pace.

Fairy Tail, on the other hand, quickly eclipsed Soul Eater as my favorite traditional shounen (Hikaru no Go is technically my favorite shounen as it was in Weekly Shounen Jump, but it's a little different. Awesome, but different). It's more in the standard Big Three model: crazy fights, limitless powers, more chapters than you can shake a stick at, but it's got a fun energy and features solid performances from Aya Hirano and Rie Kugimiya. Given that there's no end in sight, be aware that like BleachOne Piece, or Shippuden, if you pick the series up, you're in it for the foreseeable future if you like it.

Thanks for your comment on my Soul Eater review!

You know, instead of season 2, I'm hoping for an FMA treatment, where we get a version that hews closer to the manga in its entirety instead of a continuation of the abortive original series (especially since the manga's treatment of Justin Law is much more interesting). All in all, I loved the series (it WAS my favorite shounen until Fairy Tail started airing), and I'm glad you did, too.

ALSO: Your comparison to GANTZ made me giggle. I'd argue that since I actually found Soul Eater more coherent and better paced, that the ending is Soul Eater was more painful than the one in GANTZ, however, but that's just preference. ;)
