Just felt like mentioning today how interesting it can be to go back over my list of animes that I've "Dropped" and taking a second look at certain ones that I thought I wouldn't enjoy in the past. I've found a few that I pretty much really enjoyed now. I suppose that, at the time, I didn't have the patience or the certain interest in the storyline back then.
One of those animes, believe it or not, is Inuyasha. I really had on interest in watching a story of "endless eps where they kill demon after demon for shard after shard" (this was my thinking back then, when I stopped watching at about ep 4). But I'm on ep 19 now, and find that the story is much more layered than that, and I can definitely appreciate that lot more now.
I also notice how much more sophisticted some of the animated body movements are in some scenes... one ep I watched closely regarding this was the one with the young girl who was trying to take revenge on her family... Of course I won't say which ep or go into further detail, so as not to spoil it. But the drawn animation of some of the scenes there were particuarly noticable in quality... just sayin'.
Anyhoo, there 'tis.
