I'm a musician and composer.  I began watching anime (mainly Slice-of-Life genres at first) to improve my Japanese language listening skills.

I'm not as much into manga, admittedly.  But every now and then I'll read one, especially if it has a unique storyline.

Been learning Japanese for several years now.  I'm not fluent, and I understand more than I can speak/write.  But I still aim to improve.

That sounds like a lot of fun! It is interesting to watch some of the older anime series.

I've mostly been watching Hikaru no Go recently, it is a long anime series (75 episodes) but it is easy to get into and has allowed me to learn about the board game Go from it. It seems like a "Simple but Complex" type of game similar to Chess yet somehow seems a little more complex compared to chess. Speaking of updating the "watching list" I should probably do the same, it is easy to allow dozens of anime to be listed as watching with my jumping habits.

There's also Arpeggio of Blue Steel which I finished recently. I thought it was a fun watch and made Naval battles look exciting. The manga for this series was also at my local bookstore so I bought up all the volumes they had to get the source material!

Other than watching anime, I've been doing college for the most part. Even though its not part of a requirement for my degree I'm going to take a Japanese language class later this year to try and understand the language better. Since you're studying Japanese are Kanji used with Katakana/ Hiragana in the same sentences, or are the 3 systems used independently of each other?

Hi! Thank you for talking to me, and getting to know me. I do love Fruits Basket and Momiji is my favorite character (pluse I have a crush on him)! So of corse I had to put the song in there.

I'm glad your using it for your daughter, that's so sweet! And yes, teaching it early on is the best way!

So tell me a little more about your self! Lets be friends!

Talk soon! :D

P.S- Sorry for the late reply, haven't been on recently.
