I'm a philosophy major planning to pursue a graduate degree in the field. I spend most of my free time reading, watching anime, watching movies, writing music, and writing short stories. I've been developing a manga with a friend recently, but it's still in the purely conceptual stages; we hope to manifest our ideas in ink once we find an artist interested in the project. The stories, environments, and characters are all heavily informed by my philosophical background. If any artist happens to read this with some interest then feel free to leave a comment and I'll go into more detail, or if you're not an artist and just want to talk that's fine too obviously. If my anime ratings appear positively skewed, that's because 1. I've rated my favorite anime first since they're the easiest to decide on and 2. when I dislike an anime I usually drop it and I only feel entitled to rate anime which I've completed.

Dude, your trip sounds great. I can only imagine in envy.Gantz: the 1 ep, that naked girl and her annoying voice made me want to destroy my pc. You couldn't get more stereotypical. Then episode 2 and 3 followed with these "creatures" that were interesting, and then became very annoying. The guy that was crying all the time "I dont want to kill bla bla bla. you're so cool(saying to the protagonist)" made me go *Fuck this. I'm going to watch the fakest and ugliest porn that is out there*. Maybe in the upcoming episodes it gets better, still no selfrespecting anime and/or an anime that will blow me away will start in that way.
I don't know about Ghost Hound. I understand its intelligence, yet I am really skeptical of those stuff and that's why I can't seem to continue watching it. And the protagonists still have to catch my full attention. The best part of Ghost Hound are the info it gives you after the ending song, which shows that the show knows what's it about, but if it implemented those more on the actual episode, I'd like it more. I just can't take seriously those Casper ghosts. Though I'm not deleting it, and I think that I will find time to finish it, but it's not that high priority in this moment.
I downloaded The Garden of Sinners ( all the movies and soundtracks ) just to realize that the subs were implemented in the video and they were French. I died a little.. it looked interesting, but I can't wait 10-15 more hours for it to download again.The Gargoyle looks Ok. the "angst-suicide-falling in love" triangle is certainly not something innovative and ground breaking. And it has an element of religious God, so bleh -.-'I'm almost done with Human, All too Human. Nietzsche is sometimes repeating himself and annoying me, but I still love him. Beyond Good and Evil is my next one and then I plan some Freud, because everyone worshipped him :P
