OMFG. 60k for her? and what does she speak about? "that ugly people can still feel good about themselves if they are whores" :O It's a mad,mad and sad world :(
Yes some reviews weren't that light on the movie. :P I just finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion and a movie "taxidermia". If you're into random, explicit and surrealistic shit, then watch Taxidermia :P have you watched NGE bthw?
yes, it's a fail :P darksarcasm is only my name here and on msn :P bthw can you guess from where does dark sarcasm come from?:P
It's that lurking , dark presence that gives meaning to life sometimes, don't you think?
P.S. your real name is Zack. Yay. My real name is Driton. I know you will mispronounce it ^^
Zarathustra is indeed hard. I was thinking to abandon it and read it at last, that's why I started Steppenwolf. I hadn't heard about that movie and I checked it out on imdB. rating 6/10 which is ok. I will make sure to watch it some day.
Of course I listen to Bjork. Do you by any chance have a last.fm account? I hadn't heard of Dredg but will check them out for sure. Theymust be great, hence Dali inspired :) One of my great friends is into philosophical rappers, me, not that much. I've heard some(which I've forgotten though) and they never stick to me :P
You have some ambitions there which I shared a year ago. Now, maybe because I spent a year of disappointment and pointlessness in my life, I have forsaken anything valuable to me. But you have one great purpose(goal) in life. I hope you succeed in it. Societies are always a mess. Whether it's extreme right-wing radicalism at one side and worshiping of materialistic, hedonistic liberal stuff at the other side, the human is doomed. But one great quote that has been giving me consolation this year has been "Epur si mueve" or "again it moves", which as a philosophy student I'm sure you are familiar with. The universe doesn't really care at all, does it? -.-'
Though I just finished Neon genesis Evangelion and almost finished "steppenwolf" which , coincidentally, are about loving one self in the meaningless life, and I'm starting to again see some life worth living(I should tell you that the place I live in really sucksssss). My suicidal tendencies have vanished recently but they might return back some day.
I just saw that your university is from New Jersey. Guido fist pump FTW :P "Snooki wants to smoosh mush" ( if you watch South park :P )
umm.. It's fun. The moments of utter anger and rebellion I feel towards society give meaning to my life. ^^ yay... I knew it that we were the same. :P though I haven't read any Ludwig. I still haven't finished any Nietzsche book, but I'm currently reading "thus Spake Zarathustra" ( I'm reading it on ebook because I couldn't find hard copy and that's why it's taking me longer). Then I have to read "beyong good and evil; human, all too human" and "the Antichrist"(these two I have in paperback). But I'm familiar with Nietzsche's philosophy because I've read stuff on him and watched documentaries about him, and he too is my fav philosopher.
Soap&Skin is "grogeously haunting"( you nailed the word). Any artists you can recommend me?
I will make sure to check Borges( after I finish this 20 books that I just bought last month). I bought 3 from Sartre, but Nausea wasn't available :( I bought "Age of Reason" though and some political stuff... they were a collection so yeah -.-'). Love the Idiot, because I , personally, am a Dostoevskyan Idiot, including the epilepsy. :P :) What do you think of Nietzsche?
Aoi Bungaku Series was the next one on my list cuz it's praised a lot. Now that you recommended it, I'm even more sure to check it out. I've also heard of Despera and I can't wait towards its completition.
Haibane Renmei looks so happy :P I will make sure to check them out all once I finish Neon Genesis Evangelion ^^ and will report to you :P oh and don't worry, I'm a fan boy of Serial Experiments Lain as well :))))))
King of limbs was good, but when you are used to Radiohead producing excellence, then good becomes bad -.-' Veronica decides to die is a great book and is one of my fav because it was one of the first books I ever read ( as a mature individual). I still have yet to read Borges. Kafka looks to me very inspired by Dostoevsky, especially in the book "The Castle". in the castle at some moments I felt like I was reading Dostoevsky -.-' What's your fav Dostoevsky book bthw? Mine would be "notes from the underground" ^^ . I'm reading "steppenwolf"- herman hesse right now. Excellent book. Have you read it?
Oh you can freely recommend me any philosophical anime because I'm sure you have encountered more than me ( your list of "watched" anime was too long so I was too lazy to read it :P )
