Ah, that's because my mom got me Dual Matrix and I wasn't really aware of the OVA's at the time. I did recall seeing a bit of the first movie on TV but I couldn't remember much of it.

Nay worries!

First off, the forums are working for the rest of us so is it possible you're using a public computer/connection which may be blocking forums? I'd say try accessing on a proxy and leave sothis a comment about it if it still doesn't work.

I can totally sympathise with your dislike for Advent Children if you haven't played the games. That makes a lot of sense. It simply can't hold its own without the background of the game, and I doubt it was written to do so anyway. People who claim otherwise must be fanboys.

As for Berserk, again your tastes dictate that you may not fare well with it, but the anime has considerably less high fantasy than the manga. Also, I watched the anime before reading the manga, I actually didn't read manga before watching it. I'm of the opinion that Berserk is a perfect example of how amazing an anime can be despite being adapted from an incomplete manga. To me it stands firm on its own buuuuut then the manga is revered even more than the anime so I know where you're coming from.

Also, I'm going to watch Time Etranger in the next couple of days so if I like it I'll bump that cult up. I haven't joined a new cult in ages so fingers crossed. Hope you get back in the forums soon :)

"It's a shame, too, seeing as Yutaka Yamamoto's intent was to revitalize the anime industry and infuse it with a revolutionary bout of new creativity (his claims, not mine). Hell, he's even said that he's going to quit making anime because Fractale flopped."

Haha. Link!
