Bonjour tout le monde! (:
My first exposure to anime was from watching Dragonball and Dragonball Z with my mom. In later some Sailormoon. In all seriousness, we have all the freaking VHS boxed up in our garage.
I tend to lean towards cute, comedic slice of life cause I watch anime to chill, not get into some action packed drama with some DEEP bs meaning. But I'll watch my fair share if it has an epic plot and storyline. Or just seriously BADASS.
+ music. politics. reading. concerts. video games. John Stewart. coffee addict. cute stuff. cats. sharing music. running. Haruki Murakami. photography. work-a-holic. procrastinator. humor. romance. flute.
- praying mantises. beans. whining. procrastinators. 100+ episode anime (my stalled list is borderline dropped at this rate...)
Gintama: This is the only show to affect all the spectrum of my emotions. From Gintama alone, I have laughed, loved, cried, pitied, connected, and so much more! I never ever cried so hard over a show in my life until I watched this anime. And the best part is I wasn't necessarily crying from just sadness, but also sentimental moments. Ahhh~ gotta love Gintama.
When rating with the star system, I base it typically on how much I enjoyed the show from start to finish and it's affect on me more than animation, music, plot and other such factors.
5: I cherish this show in my heart. Nuff said.
4 - 4.5: Epic! Definitely worth the watch and left some good impressions.
3.5: A little above average, usually something really stood out in the show that I liked, but wasn't really enough to make it a 4+ star.
3: Cool beans. Pretty average.
2 - 2.5: That was wack.
1 - 1.5: Somehow, I finished this crap.
.5: Horrid. Idk why (and doubt) I would even finish something so horrid.
