Hey :D No problem :) Nice to meet you ^_^ So what's your favourite bands ? =)

Minai99 Apr 3, 2012

Oh I see that you haven't seen Shikabane Hime yet. I definitely recommend it. One of my favorite shows.

As to shows that are dark, yet beautiful in some sense or another, I havent actually seen too many anime that are like that. They tend to be shows that bring us to some truly dark parts of human nature, yet still manage to show the light, show that there is some beauty in the world despite that. Generally they also have a beautiful but dark color pallette.  It's the reason why I asked for recommendations on my page, actually. Probably my two other favorite anime that I've seen that are like that are the Rurouni Kenshin Ovas, especially Trust and Betrayal, and Shikabane Hime. As to live action movies that I've seen recently, I'd have to say Black Swan and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

oh ha, sorry I didn't mean to offend. I havent really read any of his work; I dont read manga really for that matter, so I can't say anything about the mangaka himself; I'm saying more that Gyo was ufotable doing a crappy job, not necessarily the source material.

To be honest, I feel like Gyo is ufotable resting on its laurels and being lazy, doing low-quality work as a way to just pass time between their next big thing, after the success of KnK.
