I was reading the manga like everyone else until vol 19 and then for some reason there were no more chapters for some time. I kept looking everywhere for new chapters just to see that the vol 19 that I read about 2 or 3 months ago was the LAST!! FINAL!! END!! I was like huh?
For me it seemed totally unfinished or maybe CLAMP couldn't think of anything and finally dropped xxxHolic. It's like Kishimoto finishing NARUTO after he saved konoha from pain and saying that he'll protect konoha forever. WTF!!!!
Yuko didn't come back and Watanuki replaced her, so was the whole story to train Watanuki to become the shop owner? I geuss so.
I still love xxxholic but for me it doesn't seem like CLAMP finished the manga, they just dropped it and I'm probably not gonna read any other manga from them. It might just be me who didn't like the ending though.
Until which chapter did you read? The last published one is 213, and it is deffinitely an ending. I mean, yeah until chapter 212 you think is gonna be a continuation but then 213 comes out and it's the end. It was sudden I agree but it was an end and a very nice one if you want my opinion. I like CLAMP 'cos they know how to make a bad ending looks good. Have you read Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles? It's my fav of their work.
