So far the only shows that grabbed me in the slightest this season are Shiki, Highschool of the Dead and Occult Academy. I watched the first episodes of each of these series over the weekend.
First I watched Shiki. Shiki's first episode is dull and forgettable. I literally forgot what it was or was about after I had finished watching Occult Academy and HotD. The character designs are rediculous, though I loved the pink haired girl's boots. I'll stick with it for a few more episodes because it could develope into something.
The second one I watched was Occult Academy. It wasn't bad. I liked the animation, it had a nice fluidity to it that I often admire. I like the lead character too, I think. I'm interested in seeing where it goes.
Highschool of the Dead was awesome. A little too much fanservice for my liking, so I couldn't show it to certain zombie loving members of my family, but I really like it so far. It's funny because I heard the manga wasn't very good. Maybe this is one of those things that work better in action? Anyway, I love the animation, style (especially the death around the eyes before they turn fully.) and the premis. Totally sticking with this one.
I am also looking forward to Cat Shit One. Because, come on! I read some of the manga and I eventually lost interest but I really want to see it in all it's bloody CGI glory.
