Sacred Blacksmith ep 2: The Magical Adventures of the Magically Magic Katana of Magicness

I want to like the series. I really do. I haven't seen a really, really good fantasy sword-and-sorcery anime in a long time. The only thing coming to mind other than Lodoss War, which I'm just starting, is Dragon Half.

Or Hentai.

But I lose an amount of suspension of disbeliefe when a katana is in a series it has no right to be in! The writers aren't writers, the creators aren't creators, they're fanboys. It's a fucking KATANA! Why is it in a psuedo-European fantasy setting? I'd be fine if it was a folded-steel bastard sword or something, but it has the shape and name of a kitana. It's a kitana. It's not bullshitting that it's not a kitana. And now we must all bow in awe at the mighty peni...er...katana.

I'm sure we'll hear the heartwarming story of how Luke got his katana, but I just don't care.

And Cecily is useless and undeserving.

At least the effects are neatand I do like some of the costume designs.
