I'm...I'm not sure what to say...this manga is...odd. Its a bit more explicit than the other ecchi's I've seen/read (Golden Boy, Rosario x Vampire, ect). But the awkward parts aside, there's a really beautiful love story here. Its disgused among the denial, complex character backgrounds, and society's standards of what is right and what is wrong.
I feel like I've found a truly amazing series here, but at the same time, it has this wrong feeling to it. Its funny at parts, its cute at parts, its disturbing at parts, and yet there's something about it that the hopeless romantic in me really enjoys. Perhaps its the obstacles that are presented against this love which may not be a situation acceptable in real life. It isn't often children are so openly romantic nowadays. And its hard to find anyone like Aoki in te real world. I've seen dozens of teachers who only do it for the pay. I've seen that blatant lack of love for the true meaning of a lifetime career in police officers, firefighters, doctors. And the few who still do care usually get infected with the avarice of others or they simple lose hope in the cause they were willing to dedicate their lives to.
One of my favourite quote is the saying "Love knows no boundaries"
I believe love can't be controlled. You can't choose who you love. And the heart pays no heed to the mind. It doesn't judge by race, gender, age, or appearance. The heart judges by the heart of another. No matter how much you may say in your mind that the love doesn't exist, it does, whether you like it or not XDD
And that is why I like this anime.
