Having read Rurouni Kenshin, this felt a lot like the same storyline at the start of the story. You have one of those strong-willed women which defies the stereotypical weak female persona who meets this mysterious guy. After having a few encounters, she discovers that he's a really strong fighter with a mysterious past and is determined to follow this guy to figure out who he is. The only difference is that with Rurouni Kenshin, they aren't traveling and the girl isn't a bounty hunter who's more in it for the money, although it would appear she starts to develop feelings later in the story. The storyline is fairly easy to follow, but it's clear that the author never intended the names to be translated into English because while many of the characters have easy names, names of places and titles are often three or four words long and confusing to remember, let alone say when describing the manga to people. The story does maintain a decent sense of mystery behind who everyone is and what their history is and what they know and don't know, but at times it gets really confusing when there's too much to comprehend at once.
