With being very inactive for weeks I'm just starting to responding to all my comments ^^'

First of all thx for posting in my blog. You raised some interesting point, that I have to argue with :]  You are saying, tha the fact, that many similar characters appear in short timeframe is caused by people fantasizing about same things. While this may be somehow true, it still  doesn't mean they weren't influenced by each other. The title that starts some new trend is usually a fresh perspective - something that no one thought about before. Since it's popular many people learns that perspective and it influence their own way of thinking - All heroes were perfect, until Batman arrived. It brought the idea of anti-hero to the table, opening a completely new path the comic world could explore.

Now let's put this on a hold for a moment and let's check what cliche means. The definition of cliche from online dictionary says : A trite or overused expression or idea. So, getting back to my previous thought - the one that brings the new trend obviously isn't making anything cliche. So are the few others following his footsteps, as their own ideas get influenced by his breakthrough approach. But thelarge numbers of other, are already diving into the cliche with full force, since their ideas aren't just similar. They'd probably never thought of them, if not for the pioneers in this new trend.

That's one thing. Now there's also another - if you read new manga from creators of Death Note, called Bakuman, you can gain a very refreshing inside into the world of shounen jump. There you can see that mangakas do use cliche ideas knowingly. Two main characters are making a manga - but the first thing they do isn't  thinking about some amazing world they'd like to bring to life. It's about what is popular with Jump readers. Even their editor tells them there are 2 ways they can make into jump, and stay serialised. Either they get an original hit  - something outside the box, that's just so good no one thought about before or they go for mainstream and use cliche ideas as a base for their characters. Hits are usually the most amazing, but they are also very scarce. That's why I dare say, that mangakas and animators often chose to go for mainstream, knowing well enough they aren't making anything original, just a different version of the same stuff.
