Wanting more? Not recently.

So, in all my time spent watching Animu recently, I never once thought about why the stuff I've been watching hasn't gripped me like some of the top dogs of my life spent on Anime. The main reason I haven't watched any of these series 12 1/2 times so far (the usual amount I watch something I LOVE before moving on to something else) is that I haven't regretted any of them ending. Each time they ended it's either been a relief that I got one more under my belt, or it felt like it's been just enough time with the characters, and any more would feel like overstaying my (or their) welcome. Sort of like the natural end. That's it, and it should stay that way.

That's not to say that Cowboy Bebop should have gone on after the last episode (though I am thankful for the movie.) I just felt like I wasn't quite done with Spike, Jet, Ed, Ein and Faye yet. I wanted to spend more time with them, even if I had to see repeats to do it. The same thing happened for Ouran HSHC (I'm lazy, but you get it). Honey-sempai wasn't gonna be back next year, and thus, another season probably wasn't gonna be worth it, with about a million shota fans mobbing the studio demanding their favorite character. Heh, that's a funny thought. Anyhow, my point is that even though there are good reasons for the show ending that I could easily accept, I needed more time with the characters. I had grown quite attached to them, and didn't want them to dump me back in my own world without them, so I went back in time and saw their hijinks again.

About the only Anime I've watched where I wanted, and in fact, probably need more time with the characters is 5cm/s, which I'm still stunned by, and at times, a little hurt by (I still have yet to watch Azumanga Daioh to cheer up, I should get on that, but busy with school things. ;_; )

So, why hasn't this Anime left me with a longing for more, despite no more to be given?

I wish I could tell you.

Asura Cryin' is one of the ones I was thankful to have done, although I will probably go back in the fall, just to find out, as I said in an earlier post, if Natusme ends up with Tatsuki. If that happens, I'll probably be a lot happier with the turnout of the series in general, and might even give it it's .5 stars back. >.>

07-Ghost... Well, I dunno yet. I like it, mayhaps even enough to bring me to want more as I did with the afforementioned series, but I'll wait to see how it turns out, before giving it a final call.

In other news, the Skype club is up to episode 4 of Ah! My Goddess, and we're loving it. As always, my stance on it is; "The more the merrier!" (Well, not always. I prefer involving only two people for some things, like when... -cough- Nevermind.)

And on the final front. I'm on episode 12 of 009-1. Megavideo blocked me out with 10 minutes left to go in the episode, though, so I guess I won't know how it ends until tomorrow. Ruttin' 72 minute cap. I'll give thought tomorrow.

Anyhow, that's all from me today. It seems like I made another wall of text that all the 0 people who read this will be forced to trudge through. Sorry about that.

"some things, like when... -cough- Nevermind." I SEE WHAT YOU DID THAR. >.>

In other news, I wouldn't worry too much that not many anime series are hooking you as much as Ouran. For me, at least, getting an anime (or book) that's good enough for a 5th runthrough is rare. Example: I'm going to guess I've got 1,000 books, but I've only got two that I've read 3 or more times, because I love them. I think finding something you love that much, in books or anime or games or AYTHING, is just a rare gem. When you come across one, that's amazing, share it with everyone you know, but don't kill yourself looking for them. That's my two cents, anyhow.

This is pretty much how I feel about anime at the moment. I've got tons of shows high on my WtW which I KNOW I would've loved if I watched it a few months ago, but I've been having trouble really getting into anime lately, nothing grips me in. I find somewhat decent, yet shallow action anime the most entertaining to watch (like Index) right now, as I don't really NEED to get hooked in to be entertained by these. No use trying to get in to something great like Monster now though >_>.

I'll just blame it on the hot weather recently, and the fact that I've got lots of things on my head for now (looking for an appartment, studying ~200km from my hometown very soon etc). It somehow makes me want to spend me free time on completely useless stuff (ye, even more useless then watching anime).
