Tanpenshu is up: http://www.animeuknews.net/manga_review/80/tanpenshu-2

Also, amazon are fucking with me. I had to end up get two of the four NG Life volumes elsewhere and still waiting on them to dispatch volumes 1 and 2. Not looking good! If you see a good deal for them anywhere, let me know.

Hi there,

No, the Touch thread was created in the last few weeks - three or four weeks ago, I think.

Regarding NG Life, I got volumes 3,6,7,8,9 from TBD and 1,2,4,5 from amazon.co.uk. No doubt they'll get their stock from their US counterpart. Or at least, they better in order to save me having to go re-order it myself.

Hi AironicallyHuman,

It's amazing how you can say so much and yet so very little. If you didn't spend 95% of your posts being indirect and minimally ironic, I'd have something concrete to respond to.

I have not played that Ninja game and never will - I'm not a gaming type of person. FF or gtfo. And even with that, I think I'm now two games behind everyone else, having never upgraded to PS3.

I'll contact fabricatedlunatic for you. May he skip joyfully back into your arms.

Thanks for the warning on NG Life. I just went and panic-bought all the volumes. Well, I bought what was available on TBD and then bought the rest from amazon. Worryingly, they claim shipping is within 1-3 weeks. What that tells me is that they'll be hoping to order more stock in before they actually send me the goods. Hopefully they get hold of it.

As for Tezuka, I didn't say I particularly adored what I've read of him so far, which is only Astro Boy, and that was underwhelming. I have Apollo's Song to read, which we're told is some kind of parable about sexuality or whatever, and I'm already sure it'll have lots of arty rape and degrade women - that's pretty much the default view for anything pre-2000 when women's lib still hadn't reached Japan. I want to read Swallowing the Earth because I'm intrigued by how Tezuka would interpret a woman who supposedly wants to topple men. I don't for once believe it's a liberation story, but will rather portray women who are 'strong' as total villainous bitches. But it's rare for any of the great to write a good story about a woman in the first place. I have Otomo's 'The Legend of Mother Sarah' and I'm intrigued by that BECAUSE the protagonist is a woman and a mother on a sci-fi journey. I hope she kicks arse.

Here's my Astro Boy review: http://animeuknews.net/manga_review/79/astro-boy-3

Here's my Eden of the East: King of Eden review: http://animeuknews.net/review/1090/eden-of-the-east-movie-1-king-of-eden

And that's all I've written so far for AUKN. I don't really need feedback since they're already live. When Tanpenshu finally goes up, I'll be sure to link you to it. As for all things Berserk, I can't wait for the new adaptation coming this year. It'll be supreme. Caska started off being a favourite of mine, but then the whole 'oh she's on her period' thing got on my nerves and then the rape... It made me realise she's completely wasted on this story, so I focus on Gatts instead, who I am now convinced I'm in love with.

Finally, no thanks on PSME anime. I wouldn't want to ruin the plot for myself like that. I'll watch the anime AFTER I've read the manga.
