26 years ago, something terrible happened in a middle school’s third year classroom. A popular, talented student named Misaki suddenly died, and the ramifications of that incident have caused each third year class since then to live in fear. It is now 1998, and Kouchi Sakakibara has just transferred into the notorious classroom, curious about the mysterious secret that his peers are hiding from him. He’s drawn to one enigmatic girl named Mei Misaki, a quiet student who wears an eye patch and warns him about getting involved with her, and continues to seek her out against the pleas of his classmates. And that’s when people begin to violently die...
Both of these series are dark tales of a boy and a ghost-girl. In addition to the plot similarities (a guy in school encounters a ghost girl which only he can see), both series have a similarly dark atmosphere.
Dark, ghostly, gloomy.. if you like these themes, "Another" and "Tasogare Otome x Amnesia" are just for you (^.^)
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, the charming girl was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Kouichi Sakakibara transfers to that classroom, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Misaki Mei who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.
Both of these series are about a boy who encounters a ghost girl in his school. A girl which only he can see. A girl who then becomes fixated on him. Gradually, other girls become drawn to him as a result of the situation, and the tensions begin to build.
Both Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and Ushiro no Shindere-san revolve around a boy who can see a ghost girl who resides at his school. In both of those series the ghost girl has amnesia, has feelings for the male lead and loves to play pranks on him. However, those girls have different personalities, one is a tsundere, while the other is definitely not. If you liked one of those manga, then you might want to check the other one too.
Both of those manga have a non-human female lead who loves to troll, teas, embarrass and openly show her affection to the one she loves (all at the same time). If you liked that aspect in one of those two series, you ought to read the other one too.
Both manga feature a rather crazy, energetic girl whose crazy act no one seems to notice except for the male lead (whom she loves to tease). Those series do feel somewhat alike and it is highly possible that you will enjoy one if you liked the other one.
Both manga revolve around a paranormal investigation club and in both series the various cases the club investigates end up being related to each other. Anyway, if you're looking for ghost story in which high schoolers are the main characters, look no further.
