If you feel like you need middle-eastern setting in your manga than Otoyome-gatari and Shihou Sekai no Ou are series for you. Note that this recommendation is based solely on the setting. If you hope for something with similar story, those series couldn't be further away from each other.
Yuuhi Amamiya is a loner whose mistrust of people was instilled in him at a young age by his abusive grandfather. So when an annoying talking lizard tells the university student that he is one of twelve knights chosen to stop the gigantic "biscuit hammer" before it smashes the Earth to smithereens, Yuuhi has no inclination to rescue such an unkind world. Despite his apathy, the boy is targeted by a golem while going about his day-to-day life, and ends up teaming up with the other knights anyway. One of his new companions is Samidare Asahina, the "princess" and leader of the knights, who secretly is only trying to protect the Earth so she can destroy it herself! Entranced, Yuuhi swears eternal loyalty to this cheerful devil that promises to crush the world he despises.
Both manga take place in a historical middle-eastern setting and both future great art. The catch is, both are largely untranslated...
Nonetheless if one of those cought your eye, the other one should do so as well.
For some reason Shihou Sekai no Ou reminded me of Kaibutsu Oujo. Both have a somewhat evil female lead. Ok, ok, Hime isn't really evil, but she isn't exactly good either. Both of those girls take a somewhat weak boy as their servant and they teas him in their spare time. The girl from Shihou Sekai no Ou does much more teasing than the one from Kaibutsu Oujo, but at least she shows that she cares too (which never really happens in Kaibutsu Oujo). This is mostly a hunch, but I think you might like one of those two manga if you liked the other one.
Teiichi Niiya is a first year middle-school student at Seikyou Private Academy, an institution known for mysterious occurrences. The boy quickly finds these rumors to be true when he meets Yuuko Kanoe, a beautiful, mischievous girl who quickly takes a liking to him... and happens to be a ghost who seemingly no one else can see! Unable to remember anything about her past, Yuuko enlists Teiichi’s help to discover the truth, and together they join the school's Paranormal Investigation Club. With fellow memebers Momoe and Kirie, the pair will investigate the many strange happenings around campus, including the shadowy circumstances surrounding Yuuko’s death.
In both series a strong and somewhat supernatural girl spends her time (at least when she is not plotting to destroy the world in case of Shihou Sekai no Ou) teasing the boy she likes. The difference is that in Tasogare Otome x Amnesia the girl is mischievous at best, but in Shihou Sekai no Ou she is actually evil.
