Itsuki ‘Ikki' Minami is a boy who'd love to get his hands on a pair of Air Trecks so he can fly through the sky like the beautiful girl he's seen over the rooftops, but he's left instead with being beat up by brutal, Treck-wearing ‘storm rider' gangs like the Storm Saders. However, Ikki's life changes forever when he discovers that his caretakers, the lovely Noyamono sisters, are actually members of a storm rider gang called the Sleeping Forest. They give Ikki his first pair of Air Trecks, and the rest is history. Both series are about a carefree male protagonist who enters a competition with his team. Also, both boys aim to become "kings". For Yoh, it is Shaman King, and for Ikki, it is Sky King.
The characters in both series have alot in common and even the main hero feels excactly the same. The story is also based on old friends/rivals who eventuaaly end up fighting. Even though B.Ichi still has an open ending you'll enjoy every single bit of the other manga.
Both stories about about boy shamans with great potential power. They both have a nerdy little tag-along boy who just gets in the way, and a powerful but brutal girl in their corner.
