One Piece

One Piece
  • Vol: 73+; Ch: 744+
  • 1997 - ?

Long ago the infamous Gol D. Roger was the strongest and most powerful pirate on the seas. As he was about to be executed he revealed that he hid all of his wealth, including the legendary treasure known as One Piece, on an island at the end of the Grand Line - a treacherous and truly unpredictable sea. Monkey D. Luffy is a spirited, energetic and somewhat dim-witted young man with a very big dream: to find One Piece and become the Pirate King! However Luffy is no ordinary boy, as when he was younger he ate one of the Devil's Fruits and gained its power to become a Rubber Man. Now in this grand age of pirates Luffy sets out to gather a crew and sail to the most dangerous sea in the world so that he can fulfill his dream... and maybe even his appetite!

Kari5

Both of these shows are shonen series by Shonen Jump. They have a fun and hilarious cast of characters, who always stick together. With a goal in mind, they travel together defeating rivals and enemies. Fans of one would enjoy the other as well.

PantsMan

If you enjoy shounen involving relatively laid back protagonists, bands of rarely separable friends and superpowers of all shapes and sizes, don't forget to check out either of these classic shounen; you won't be disappointed if you liked the atmosphere of either one of these two series...

Air Gear

Air Gear

Move over, roller skates! The self-propelled, high-tech trick skates known as Air Treck have taken the world by storm. Itsuki ‘Ikki' Minami is a boy who'd love to get his hands on a pair of Air Trecks so he can fly through the sky like the beautiful girl he's seen over the rooftops, but he's left instead with being beat up by brutal, Treck-wearing ‘storm rider' gangs like the Storm Saders. However, Ikki's life changes forever when he discovers that his caretakers, the lovely Noyamono sisters, are actually members of a storm rider gang called the Sleeping Forest. They give Ikki his first pair of Air Trecks, and the rest is history. With new wings that allow him to soar like a bird, Ikki finds himself drawn into the underground world of the storm riders where battles, hot girls and fame await him. What Road will Ikki choose?

Both series are about a carefree male protagonist who enters a competition with his team. Also, both boys aim to become "kings". For Yoh, it is Shaman King, and for Ikki, it is Sky King.

The characters in both series have alot in common and even the main hero feels excactly the same. The story is also based on old friends/rivals who eventuaaly end up fighting. Even though B.Ichi still has an open ending you'll enjoy every single bit of the other manga.

Both stories about about boy shamans with great potential power. They both have a nerdy little tag-along boy who just gets in the way, and a powerful but brutal girl in their corner.

InuYasha

InuYasha
