Takashi is an open homophobe dating his yaoi-obsessed classmate Shizuka. When she forces him into a bet with a flirtatious male photographer he meets on the street, he thinks that will be the last he hears of it. Little did Takashi know this strange man ends up being his school’s new photography club advisor! The bet becomes the least of his worries when the new club advisor makes it his mission to cure Takashi’s homophobia with a "hands-on" approach - much to the delight of his girlfriend.
Both The Tyrant Falls in Love and Self Portrait are BL manga in which one of the main characters is a fiesty (and somewhat violent) homophobe. Both would probably appeal to the same audience, though The Tyrant Falls in Love (which is on the yaoi end of the spectrum) is a bit more explict than Self Portrait (which is on the shounen-ai end of the spectrum).
