Synopsis:

Rumors tell of mermaids that appear at the school's pool at night. It is said that if you eat their flesh you'll be able to have the person you love - but only if you can see and catch them. Yoshiko and Haruko are on the hunt for the mermaids, having found a notebook that chronicles the ways that previous girls found and ate the mermaids. In the dead of night they say a chant and the mermaids appear - but they aren't quite what was expected...

Kare no Satsujin Keikaku

Kare no Satsujin Keikaku

Yasuhiro Takagi could have been an average seventeen-year-old high school sophomore, but recently he's decided that he wants the experience of killing somebody. With meticulous detail he ponders how and when the event will take place. Should he pick a stranger or someone close to him? A yakuza to help society, a celebrity, someone old or young? And above all else, what will people think of him when he does it?

School Ningyo and Kare no Satsujin Keikaku are two one shots that have a delightfully awesome twist. Don't get me wrong - both are (flavors of) horror... people who liked one should surely read the other.

cassiesheepgirl

Both of these short manga are essentially about the murderous intent of school students for their own entirely selfish reasons. If you liked the darker aspect of one then you may well enjoy the other.

Death's Reflection

Death's Reflection

Think school is safe from terror? Think again! The reflection of a dead woman in the mirror of a girl’s bathroom is scaring teachers and students alike; an entire class of students has disappeared without a trace; and a young lady with beautiful long hair is accosted by a cruel adult who forces her to cut it, followed by deadly events. Each set of students will experience the horror of the supernatural world...

School Ningyo could have come right out of Death's Reflection, as the latter is a trilogy of terror that will keep you engaged, just like the one shot School Ningyo.

Ibitsu

Ibitsu
  • Vol: 2; Ch: 13
  • 2009

When Kazuki took out the trash one night, he didn't expect to encounter a creepy gothic lolita with a rag doll. After she asked the boy if he had a little sister, the girl vanished. But little did Kazuki know that with this event, a new, unspeakable terror was yet to come...

Thrawn

Urban legends, where the good ones create corpses before the final credits roll. The cruelty of humans is prevalent, and some are even less than human as they do their grim deeds. Although School Ningyo is less bloody than Ibitsu, both are creepy as the story of a legend unfolds.
