Project X: Seven Eleven

In downtown Tokyo, on a small corner by the highway sits a small convenience store, but this isn’t just any shop, as it was the first in Japan’s revolutionary Seven Eleven chain. Hideo Shimizu is a young man who at the mere age of thirty four was promoted to the head of store expansion for the Ito-Yokado company, though with various obstacles in the way of building a new department store, he soon finds himself transferred to business development. Alongside his co-worker, Toshifumi Suzuki, the pair travels to America in order to find a new venture for their company, and when all hope seems lost they find what it is they’ve been looking for: something that will change their lives and the future of Japanese retail forever.
