Nowadays, the cup noodle is a household name and favourite snack for many people across the world – but it wasn’t always that way. In 1970 the director of the Nissin food company, Momofuku Andou, had a vision: to create an instant ramen in its own container that could be cooked and eaten on the go. In order to make his dream a reality, Andou gathers his best team of researchers to create the next big product. From container design to finding the best ingredients for their freeze-dried toppings, no stage of the process is simple and requires endless weeks of development. However, despite all their struggles, none of these men will give up on this goal of making history in the world of instant food.
