Both stories involve a prince who strikes up a romance with an asian girl. 100% Perfect Girl has darker and more mature themes than Private Prince, but they are similar in terms of a 'cinderella story'.
Both these josei manga share a steamy romance that is perfectly balanced by mild drama and hilarious antics. Though the two heroines are quite opposites, I find the storytelling in these two manga to be very similar and fans of one would be sure to enjoy the other.

For no apparent reason, fifteen-year-old Yuri Suzuki is suddenly snatched out of her modern world by a pair of hands emerging out of the water. She is transported back to Hattusa, the Hittite Empire's capitol, during the time of the Bronze Age; its queen, Nakia, wishes to use Yuri has a human sacrifice. The only way Yuri can survive is by becoming the concubine to the Prince of the Empire, and Ishtar to the people of the Empire. With danger at every turn and her heart torn, will Yuri decide to stay in Hattusa, or try to find her way back home?
This one is a little bit of a stretch, but we can make that jump...
Red River is a "person in a strange world" and a historical fiction story, in which the main character is sent back in time. In Private Prince, the main character is a history nut, so there's a common theme of history. The other major theme is the ordinary girl falling in love with a prince, and he in return, and the progress of their romance (and people who stand in the way)
