Princess Resurrection, proof that royal family can actually kick some ass. To start, it's a story about a boy, Hiro, who dies immediately after moving to a new city, but is brought back after a princess from a dark realm decides he should live. Since she saved him from death, he has to serve as her semi-immortal blood warrior in a fight against her siblings.

That's the short and sweet of it, now to the finer details. It's a comedy/supernatural/action combo, with plenty of the supernatural element to keep each chapter fresh. The action is satisfactory, not too much blood and guts, but epic. Epic as in, a panda bear killing a vampire while chewing on bamboo, flamethrowers versus pod people, and throwing axes at giant mutant bugs. Story is good, nothing confusing pops up until the later chapters. Some people could make the case it is a harem series. While the elements exist for it to be a harem series, it is in truth not. Though I wish it was.

Compared to the anime, the manga is much better. More story, more action, just more everything.

Overall, a fun read that will absorb you and keep you reading for hours. Plus, every chapter begins with a quote from an H.P. Lovecraft story, so how bad can it be?
