Seriously, Missions of Love is one of the few mangas that really made me obsessed. I really like it.

It's about a girl called Yukina who is secretly a popular cellphone author, Yupina. Her fans want more romance in her stories, so she blackmails the school's most popular boy, Kitami.

This is one of the magas that caught my eye. I loved the story but Yukina just doesn't want to be hated. My favorite part is when Mami and Akira were together so Yukina and Shigure where left but Shigure is kinda ignoring Yukina and keeps saying,"Where's Mami?" And didn't notice Yukina was sick, wery sick until Akira came back and noticed. IT made my heart hurts ft.

I'm not entirely caught up with the chapters but I just started reading this today.

Yukina is secretly a very popular writer but she needs romance to make it even better. However, everyone is scared of her because of her slanted eyes and cold skin... everyone except her cousin Akira who is always by her side. To find this love Yukina decides to blackmail the most popular guy in school when she discovers he is an incorrigible playboy. And so begins the game of love.

The good:

  • The art is distinctly shoujo so it means that it's fairly detailed and very pretty to look at. You can even see Yukino's eyes are more slanted than usual even though that doesn't subtract from her attrativeness.
  • Yukina is an interesting character. She's very emotionally retarded but at the same time she also holds much passion in her heart. I worthy heroine she is!
  • Enough fluff to drown in but not enough to kill you! The author keeps me fanning my face but in the next moment calms me down. Very skillful this is. There are squeal worthy moments but not enough to seem repetitive.

The bad:

  • I have a great dislike for love triangles because I almost always root for the wrong guy! Why can't the heroine never stay with the nice guy? And why must the nice guy always go out of characterly evil? If someone knows of a love triangle where this doesn't happen, please point me to it.
  • Very very cliche. The nice guy, the perfect guy with the secrets, the unpopular girl, the avenging ex (or in this case childhood friend with a one sided love); it's all in here. Not too terrible though. The novel is a nice approach to this time tried plot.

Notes from the reviewer:
So far, it is good enough for me to get to chapter 23 however I am seriously considering stopping becuase I (unwisely) spotted a spoiler in which I would find heartbreaking. I already stated I'm rooting for the (propable) wrong guy so that's also a factor that would stop me from reading. I also place a higher importance to plot and character than to art. To be fair, I'm a pretty harsh critic. But not everyone's like me correct?

Final Verdict:
Therefore if you're looking for a light piece of fluff to laugh and blush at; this is it! If you're dying for really fully fleshed out characters this MIGHT not be for you. To be honest the main characters are good, but the supportive characters get their personalities thrown left and right.
