If you liked the Mars manga, the Anime-Planet community thinks you'd like:
mars and kare first love have many things in common. one of those things is both of the main characters have a good talent and both manga's have alot of obsticals in the reltionship. but if i say anymore then this i'll give away the excitment of both manga's if you haven't read them. If you like mars you will definitly like kare first love :)
If you liked L-DK or Mars, you may also like the other one. Both series evolve around an attractive high school boy and his intimate relationship with the girl they love. L-DK has more comedy in it while Mars has more drama. But you will get similar taste from both series.
With a noticeable tan and bleached hair, Momo Adachi is a high school student who is frequently misunderstood by her classmates. She's accused of being a playgirl and is the subject of many rumors, most of which originate from her ‘best friend' Sae who is jealous of Momo due to them having a crush on the same boy. Momo's life only gets worse when Kairi Okayasu, who she once saved from drowning, decides to make her his own. Kairi coming into Momo's life only encourages Sae to spread more rumors about Momo and Kairi while going after Toji herself, creating quite a complicated situation for everyone involved.
Both of the Mars and Peach Girl series are wrought with unexpected dangers for the relationship of the main characters. The trials and tribulations of everyday life will test the bonds of love they share with each other.
Nemu is an extremely timid girl whose habit of zoning out when people are talking to her leads others to believe she's a bit dim. But the girl has an extraordinary gift for drawing and an intense drive to become a mangaka - if only she could find the courage to show professionals her work. In her quest to become a shoujo mangaka, Nemu befriends Goro Kimura - an obscure and jaded manga artist who recently returned from Tokyo, bored of his old life of booze and babes. Despite their disparate personalities, the two bond over their shared passion for stories.
Shoujo Nemu isn't a romance, and is far more understated than Mars, but the pair of main characters from each is extremely alike. The female lead is shy and withdrawn, but is a talented artist. The male lead is really rough around the edges, and has a speckled past. However, despite their opposite personalities, they get along swimmingly. If you liked this character dynamic in one, you may enjoy it in the other.
Both of these stories have a very similar plot in which one person falls in love with some who hardly suited for them (judging from other's background).
Both female main characters from each story face trials from their past. The male main characters are linked in some way or another to these past trials.
