These two have lots of similarities from tags to story plot. Both are Rom-Com Shoujo and have female main characters think of the male main characters as their rival. Male main characters have   a mysterious personality and annoying attitude when the talk comes to their family/past.

Kare Kano

Kare Kano

Yukino Miyazawa appears to be the perfect high school student. She is at the top of her class and the envy of all her classmates, but no one knows that things are not what they seem. When at home, Yukino is spoiled, slovenly, stubborn, and spends every spare minute studying to keep her place at the top; so when she's knocked from the top by Soichiro Arima, she vows to destroy him. One day Soichiro tells Yukino he likes her, but she quickly turns him down since him falling for her means she's ‘won.' Soon after, Soichiro discovers that Yukino's prim and proper attitude is a facade and blackmails her into doing some of his school work. Yukino gets fed up with the situation and stands up to Soichiro, causing him to apologize and re-declare his true love for her after learning what Yukino is really like. Yukino has also fallen for the real Soichiro after his confession of also having to play the role of the perfect student. Together they decide to stop pretending and learn how to be themselves.

both of these are about a girl who has a secret (yukino has a hidden personality and misaki has a secret job)

Momoiro Heaven!

Momoiro Heaven!

Momoko is not your average high-school girl. In order to support her family (her younger brother and her hospitalized mother), she works as a popular author! But she doesn't write just any books, she pens erotic novels! It's quite an exciting job, but for Momoko, it is one of high stress because, you see... she is a virgin! Fortunately she has a great imagination, and does very well for herself and her family. However, because of the nature of her work she must keep it a secret. Momoko's troubles begin when Inui Ranmaru, a popular super model and new transfer student at her school discovers her secret! In order to keep him from telling, Momoko becomes his slave?!

Okay, while Momoiro Heaven! Has more sexual themes to it, there are a few similarities to Maid Sama! that I think would make both works enjoyable to fans of either. The primary similarity between the two is that the female protagonist in both has a "secret life" where she works in order to support her familiy. Both of these girls end up getting caught by the blonde and super sexy male protagonists - who in turn vow to keep the ladies' alter identities secret.  Both are laced with drama and comedy and feature female leads that are stronger than the average shoujo lead.

If you loved the strong and fearless attitude of Misaki in MAID-SAMA you could also like the female protagonist in LOVEY DOVEY who is of course supported by a cool and hot guy. Like Misaki, Saika(female protagonist) has secrets she wants to hide and tries really hard( though this secrets are totally different). All in all I think that the manga is funny, has a cute romance, is also a little smutty and even contains a moral in it.  IT JUST GIVES YOU THE DOKI-DOKI FEELING YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR!

Both series have strong, independent female character and handsome, skillful male character (to the point of having fans). Girls both have no clue about dressing-up feminine, have got violent but also warm and responsible personality and are quite dense with realizing their feelings (even if there is a feeling in everything they think or do). I the other side guys are totally in love with the one and only girl and are willing to do anything for them.

There is also a misunderstanding between father and son in both.

So I think that if you like one, you will like another :)
