This manga is absolutely incredible. I have never felt so inclined to see a series through to the end like I did with this one.

the art is great but other than that it's a waste of time.

there's no development, no cohesive plotline no nothing. Just cheap  jumpscares that get mundane and repetitive.

Don't bother with it.

While not quite Junji Ito level horrors, it's pretty mundane, but also terribly confusing to read because of the way it's being portrayed. I'm unsure if this is just due to the way it's set up in the volumes, or if this is how it was originally printed (which I doubt), but there's these weird mini chapters that seem like previews and it only confused me. It's very poor at setting up anything that seems threatening or unnerving most of the time, as the atmosphere, isn't really doing it. At least if you're someone who reads horror stuff regularly. I imagine if someone who doesn't indulge in this stuff would be unsettled.

As far as the weird setup go, it seems like it's trying to tie most of it to some neglected god. There doesn't need to be a specific explaination for why said god is doing such things. Ancient horrors and whatnot. But it all just seems so randomly put together.

This might be due to how poorly it's structured together on its own without having a plot of any kind. While having plot in horror doesn't have to be some deep connecting thing, even something as simple as a basis is pretty lackluster when you only get a few pages of some teddy bear being destroyed by goblin creatures. Why is it there? Dunno. I don't find it entertaining.

Is this worth reading? Maybe. I only read it myself as the recommendation of a friend because the mangaka quit after supernatural things happened to him. It doesn't quite live up to expectations, in my opinion.

The bonus chapter involving the mangaka's experience was definitely interesting, but that's really only the highlight of reading all of this. Not bad, not good. Just seems a bit dull to me. I might also be too desensitized to horror stuff from how much I try to consume.

Art is nice but it’s not really that scary or gutwrenching. Idk why the stories have to be short like honestly….
