Both Spirited Away and Howl's take place in a fantasy world and are about a heroine who tries to overcome obstacles to help the ones she loves. Both series demonstrate a feeling of one's own independence and ability to do what you have to do to succeed.
Fantasy? Check. Magic? Check. Miyazaki's Magic Touch? Check. If you like the above then both Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away are for you. Both a good read and by nature of being film comics, you can experience the story in all its colourful glory.
In Air and Howl's Moving Castle there is a curse that plagues the main characters. In Howl's Moving Castle the main heroine turns into an old woman, while in the series Air the main heroine has wings to fly though an early death that awaits her. The main characters together find hope and love and magic.

Castle in the Sky seems to be directed more towards a younger audience than Howl's Moving Castle, which has a more direct relationship between the main characters. Both deal with magic and moving islands, and have a very entertaining quality that is shared in the action and adventure the main characters partake in.

Howl’s Moving Castle and InuYasha are both about a young girl that gets caught up in a magical world of fantasy with cursed demons. With the rise of the Iron Age in feudal Japan, man and nature grow increasingly at odds. As both sides teeter dangerously on the side of outright slaughter of one another, Ashitaka sets his own problems aside and, using his charisma and honor, seeks to quell the hatred before it gets beyond repair - but will he be in time or is he simply delaying the inevitable?
Both Howl's and Princess Mononoke have a sense of hidden passion and mystery mixed in them. The hero and heroine try to battle the forces of evil together, and overcome the powers threatening them. Both movies are filled with magic and strange forces controlling the world in which the main characters live.
