Mai Taniyama is a normal high school student who enjoys ghost stories like most teenage girls. However, a chance encounter with Naru - the young, handsome and conceited president of Shibuya Psychic Research - pulls her into the world of ghost hunting. Mai now finds herself working for SPR as an assistant along with a catholic exorcist, a Buddhist monk, a self-proclaimed Shinto priestess and a famous medium. Together this group of paranormal investigators must solve various mysteries around the country, but is Mai so normal after all, and just who is Naru anyway!?
They both give off the same spooky vibe and like Naru the maine character hunts "Allegorys" although (Hanako and the Terror of Allegory) is more suited for an older group of readers it has comedy and (Hanako and the Terrorr of Allegory) doest have "Ghost" it has what’s called "Allegorys" witch is very similar to “ghost” not much of a deference really
These series are extremely similar in many ways, as well as very different. While Gost Hunt deals with regular ghosts, Hanako is about urban legends.
They both have that lovely creepiness that makes them worth reading.
