The style of these two mangas are really similar. It's a romance series which always has comedy to break up the serious mood. There is also some similarity between the main characters.

Goong and Red River share similar themes and romantic stories. They are both about the relationship prince and an ordinary girl. They have a common villan: the stepmother/ queen dowager and her obsessive need for her son to be the crown prince.

The stories are different, but the themes they share are similar.
