Shiki is a young, enthusiastic and rowdy monster hunter who is just starting out. But while most hunters belong to a single guild and only venture into specified hunting territories, Shiki is different. Unlike others, he bears the seal of the forbidden hunter, and as such he only has one goal: to defeat the Forbidden Dragon of Light, Miogaruna. Now, Shiki is teaming up with the reluctant and icy Irie in order to hunt down this legendary beast, but with other powerful hunters seeking to harm him, and countless other monsters in his path, the journey to find Miogurana won’t be straightforward.
Hiro Mashima's shounen series tend to have similar drawing styles, plots and, most of all, characters, most of whom with very similar personalities. So, if you enjoyed Fairy Tail, next time you're waiting for a new volume to come out, you may want to give Monster Hunter Orage a try, if you're looking for a quick and fairly pleasant read starring characters and plot not all too unfamiliar to the general Fairy Tail crowd.

If she has to surprise him in the boy's bathroom to get him to go on the school field trip, so be it! Daichi is confused as to why a class rep would care so much about a troublemaker like him; what could be the reason behind her actions?
Yoshikawa Miki was an assistant of Mashima Hiro when he was makin' Groove Adventure Rave, so that's what can see the evident influence that she got from him: The surprised faces, gags and the style of drawing (Macchi looks like Natsu for example).
Natsu, Gray and Erza are like the yankees in Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (Adachi, Shinagawa and Izumi), and there are someone who has common sense (Lucy & Chiba), they are in an Organitation who helps people with troubles (Fairy Tail Guild, and the Student Council).
Both mangakas, likes to draw werid characters (for example, the sun-face of Rave Ichiya, the girlfriends of Nerima or that strange teacher who teachs Shinagawa)Yoshikawa and Mashima are very good friends too, that's why they make Fairy Megane, a crossover of their respective series.
Aster and Yuno were abandoned together at the same church, and have been inseparable since. As children, they promised that they would compete against each other to see who would become the next sorcerous emperor. However, as they grew up, some differences between them became plain. Yuno was a genius with magic, with amazing power and control, while Aster could not use magic at all, and tried to make up for his lack by training physically. When they received their grimoires at age 15, Yuno got a spectacular book with a four-leaf-clover (most people receive a three-leaf-clover), while Aster received nothing at all. However, when Yuno was threatened, the truth about Aster's power was revealed-- he received a five-leaf-clover grimoire, a 'black clover' book of anti-magic. Now the two friends are heading out in the world, both seeking the same goal!
If you enjoyed Fairy Tail or Black Clover and you want more of a similar story that isn't just a carbon copy you should give the other a try because...
Both plots revolve around an eccentric and havoc wreaking guild of "good guy" mages taking on various mission requests and competing with other, often less moral, guilds. However, the nature of the guild in Fairy Tail is a freelance party whereas, the guild in Black Clover is an order of misfit magic knights complete with military ranks and noble families. The protagonists of both series value their friends and exhibit a never give up attitude that inspires other characters. Yet, the main protagonists have differing end goals and mysteries behind their powers. In most story arcs there is a broad range of clashing characters that resolve their conflicts and learn to understand each other through magical combat.
