This was uncomfortable to get through. And I think a large part of that is that it felt realistic in the way it portrayed rape and abusive relationships. As far as I can tell, Amamiya doesn't even want to be in any sort of relationship with Kuraki, but fe just accepts that this is part of feir life. And I feel like that sometimes happens in real life. Whether because of low self-esteem or fear and self-preservation or whatever other reason, I think it does happen. And I wish it didn't. I also wish there were never cases where repeat rape victims grew to sympathize with their rapists, but I'm pretty sure that actually happens too. I realize that I didn't enjoy this manga on a personal level. But I'm going to try to be as objective as possible with my scores. The characterizations are pretty good. As I said before: they felt realistic. The biggest mark against the Character score is that none of the side characters (including Shiraishi) are delved into at all and even with the main characters, we only see a small portion of who they are. Plus there's not enough time for any actual character arcs. As for the Story, I feel like it was very basic and shallow. Again, because of the short length, it didn't have enough time to do this sort of story justice. As for the Art: the characters feel flat, but it's of decent quality. This is a manga where I want to rate it as a 1/10, but I feel obligated to rate it slightly higher than that because I feel like it did a decent enough job telling the story it was trying to tell. It's still no where near a masterpiece, but it's okay.
