In each of these series, a demi-human man comes to the mortal world in search of a unique woman to be his bride. Both of these women have powers well beyond normal human abilities, but aren't fully aware of them. In both cases, much drama results from the guy making alternately good & bad impressions on his potential fiance. Many of these incidents result from the guy's inexperience with the human world.
