CLAMP's manga are pretty distinctive, and Clover and Chobits are no exception. Both are soft sci-fi stories about naive young (or just young-looking) girls with some crazy mystery power that they can't control meeting and loving a man. As in all CLAMP series, the artwork in each is gorgeous, and major themes include the ever popular "love is blind" and "love will conquer all".

They both draw you into unique worlds that you just want to keep reading about long after you finish the seires.

What happens when robots are able to come to life?  You get Chobits and Angelic Layer (well almost with Angelic Layer).  The robots in each of these fantastic series have connections with the people that ‘own’ them.  The interesting takes on how humans are able to react to emotional ties with something non-human is shown in a variety of contrasts and opinions in each series.  While Chobits is more suited for an adult type level Angelic Layer is still entertaining for people of all ages.

Angelic Layer and Chobits will show the reader that robots have feeling and deserve their own rights. Both of the main character like their robots a lot and care for them. Even through Chobits is for older teens both manga will question the reader about whether or not robots should be treated like a living thing. If you like one you should definitely try the other.

It's a bit alike: two different worlds collide. Since the drawing style is related to Hino's, too, and you probably like Comedy and Romance as genre, you'll like Chobits and MeruPuri for sure.

The unique style of how the characters meet in Chobits and Midori Days is similar as is the strange love interest between the main characters. They both have a similar plot line dealing with some ecchi, although the relationship as a whole remains relatively innocent.

There is a forbidden love radiating through both of these anime series. Romeo X Juliet is along the line of a more historical sense between two warring families while Chobits presents a more technological dilemma between a robot with feelings and a human.
