Allen Walker is not your average fifteen-year-old boy - he is an exorcist and a member of the Black Order, an organization charged by the Church with the elimination of Akuma. The Akuma are the minions of The Millenium Earl - an evil demon-like entity intending to cleanse the world by destroying the entire human race in the manner of Noah's great flood. Allen and the other exorcists are special people who are compatible with a substance named Innocence, which allows them to form Anti-Akuma weapons; and as such Exorcists are the only ones capable of fighting the Akuma. Allen and his friends must battle to save humanity from the Akuma and Earl's evil plans.
In both these manga there is a boy with certain powers that can be quite powerful-because of the cercumstances and because of them. Both manga also are about exorsits, demons and trying to become powerful.
Though somtimes the feel of the manga is slightly different, some of the charictors give off a similar vibe.
If you liked one you will defenetly like the other.
There's definitely similar aspects in both these Mangas, groups of teenage exorcists fighting demons leaded by Satan or Millenium Earl, packed with good a amount of humor. The core artwork is not very similar, but they both follow their own halloween'ish dark'ish style which I like a lot. Check them out!!
Both of these are shounen manga about exorcist organisations. While Ao no Exorcist focuses on exorcists in training, if you enjoyed the comedy, action and demon kick-assery of one, then you'll likely enjoy the other.
Both of these stories feature demons as well as protagonists that find out that there is darkness inside of them. The ammount physical as well as mental pain of the individual characters is more prevalent in D.Gray-Man while Blue Exorcist focuses on friendship and teamwork. All of the characters in both manga are well developed and interesting.
Lucy is a seventeen-year-old mage with the power to summon stellar spirits, but what she really wants to do is join a guild - and not just any guild. She has her eyes set on Fairy Tail, a notoriously reckless and outrageous group of magic users who are likely to be drunk or destroying buildings and towns in the process of completing a job! While in town one day Lucy meets a perpetually-seasick boy named Natsu who, through a series of events, reveals to her that he's none other than the fire-eating mage Salamander of Fairy Tail! Lucy is finally able to join Fairy Tail and quickly begins to take on odd jobs with Natsu and his gang for fame and profit. Along with her fiery friend, Happy the flying cat, Natsu's archrival Gray and their overseer the invincible and beautiful Erza, Lucy sets forth for epic adventures that leave an epic amount of destruction in their wake. After all, destroying a city or five doesn't matter as long as they get the job done... right?!
the main boys of this show are very famillier feeling both set in diff world one with magic and another with demons you get the same feel when your watching them the are both devolping there powers slowley witha wild child kinda past if you like one your sure to like the other
Blue Exorcist and Fairy Tail are refreshingly good shounen series with strong, diverse casts, powers that are fun to watch, and a great balance between humor and action. If you like one of these, you are almost certain to love the other as well! ^_^
Teamwork, comradery, memorable characters, interesting character development, beautiful artwork and great stories; these manga have it all. The protagonists are both kind of dense but extremely courageous and do everything they can to help people.
The first law of alchemy is that "one cannot gain something without giving something of equal value in return" - a rule that two souls dare to cross. When Edward and Alphonse Elric try to revive their dead mother, breaking the taboo of human transmutation in process, Ed loses his right arm and left leg while Al loses his entire body. After the tragedy, an alchemist named Roy Mustang visits them and tells Edward to become a state alchemist to find a way to recover what they have lost. Accompanied by Al, whose soul is now attached to a metal suit of armor, Ed is fitted with auto-mail parts in place of his lost limbs and becomes a state alchemist by the name of "Full Metal Alchemist." Together, they set forth on a journey to find the Philosopher's Stone - the one item that is rumored to have the power to restore them.
In both Fullmetal Alchemist and Blue Exorcist, there's a really good balance between action and comedy, a diverse cast, and undertones of darkness. Neither Rin nor the Elric brothers got their powers under happy circumstances, but with goals this big and the determination needed to reach them, they just might change the world.
Both of these glorious series give you the same feeling; same love for a sibling, same love for others. The fact that these two wonderful manga have characters just as lovable as the other makes both worth a read.
In the series, beings from the dark realm of Magano creep into our world and can only be expelled by talented exorcists. Rokuro is from a family of exorcists, but after a terrible disaster, he'd rather be a singer, a soccer player or anything else! He's forced to own up to his incredible potential by the arrival of Benio, an exorcist who's more than his match and stirs his competitive spirit. When neither can top the other in supernatural combat, they earn the title of "Twin Star Exorcists" – two supreme fighters fated to marry and birth the ultimate spiritual warrior. Will these rivals fall in love? The fate of two worlds hangs in the balance!
These two are comedy-action-with-the-occasional-drama exorcist manga that have a hothead as their male lead, who also happens to have sharp teeth. Additionally, their unique powers, although powerful, are considered cursed or taboo, and have to remain hidden or are willfully chosen to be kept under wraps by the owner. As an aside, there are a couple of girls who look really similar to each other in these manga too.
If you are interested in mythical and wars between the evil or dark and light, this is one of the best anime there is. This anime will pique your interest.
Some things in life are so bad that you'd like to pretend they're just a dream. Unfortunately for Kazuki, trying to save a strange girl from being brutally killed by monsters (and ending up dying instead) is an unfortunate reality. Out of pity, the girl replaces Kazuki's heart with an alchemy-based artifact known as Kakugane, so that he may live on. With this strange device, Kazuki gains the power of Busou Renkin -- Arms Alchemy; a power that will come in handy when monsters (and worse) begin to plague his town! Kazuki soon meets the girl from his “dream” (named Tokiko) in reality, and she tells Kazuki to get on with his life; but with his sister and friends in danger, that might not be possible. Besides, if Kazuki gives up the chance to show off just how manly he can be, how can he hope to win the heart of the alluring older-sister-like Tokiko?!
The main characters of Blue Exorcist and Busou Renkin are both a little clueless, but at least they're committed to the fight. Kazuki and Rin cause some problems for the people closest to them, but in the end, these guys really are valuable allies. If you want a shounen series with action and a clueless main character, you should be able to chuckle at either of these.
